Sending out with Hubspot

Read ahead for a how-to guide on sending out your Reel.Reviews campaign with Hubspot.

Step 1: Create a new Email

1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Email.

2. Click Create email.

3. On the Drag and drop tab, choose a template based on the type of email you want to create. Each email template has customizable elements such as images and text fields, which are grouped into sections.

Step 2: Edit Email content

1. Add at least 1 text element into your template, by clicking and dragging a text element from the Content tab in the left pane directly into the email editor.

2. Copy in the Email from the send tab in the Reel.Reviews dashboard to the text element.

3. Replace {Customer Name}, with Hubspot's personalization token

  • In the formatting bar, click the Insert personalization token icon.

  • Click the Type dropdown menu to select whether the token will come from the Contact record or its associated Company record.

  • Click the Property dropdown menu to select which property value to pull into the email body.

  • Enter a default value that can be used for any contact without a value for this property and click Save. Then, click Insert to add the token to your text.

Step 3: Edit Email subject

1. At the top of the screen, click the Settings tab. Here, you can customize the Email subject.

2. Enter the email subject (from the Send tab in the Reel.Reviews dashboard) in the Subject line field.

Step 4: Preview and Send

1. Configure the rest of your settings and preview your Email.

2. Once you're happy with it click Review and send in the upper right.

3. Click the Send to dropdown menu and select the list(s) of customers you want to send your campaign to.

  • The best performing Reel.Reviews campaigns are sent to at least 1000 people (500 positive reviewers).

  • If you have enough customers who've already given you a positive review, send the campaign to them.

4. In the right sidebar, select Send now to send your email right away, or select Schedule for later to send it at a specific date and time in the future.

  • To increase the amount of testimonials you receive, we recommend sending your campaign out on a weekday at around 10-11am.
